The most famous street in Thai nightlife, written up by a bar that is not on it and does not want to be. What the strip is, the hour to arrive, every bar and club Google lists on it in an order you can check, and why the best Walking Street night starts, or ends, with a seat three metres from a band somewhere else.

What it is
From Beach Road to Bali Hai pier, closed to cars after dark, lined three floors high with go-go bars, clubs, rock bars and seafood restaurants on stilts over the water. Music from every doorway at once. Touts at every third one. A crowd from every country that flies here, moving in both directions and never thinning until three.
Here is the honest read from ten minutes up the road. Walking Street is a show, and a good one, and you should see it. It is also loud in a way that makes talking pointless, late in a way that ruins the next day, and, every reviewer of every venue on it agrees, more expensive than the rest of the city, which is a fact we are not permitted to state about drinks and so state about the street. Go after ten. Stay an hour or two. Stand in the middle and look up. Then leave.
What it is not is the only nightlife in Pattaya. Most of the best-rated rooms in the city are elsewhere, and our page of alternatives ranks them. One of them is us: a cold hall on Soi Diana with a band from nine, and the tables beside the band are ours.

The rule, and the top ten
Rating times the natural log of the review count. The clubs win on numbers because everybody reviews a club. Numbers on the map match the list.

There's a lot of entertainment, I thought it would be an Indian song but it turned out not to be, so it's suitable for Indonesian people if you want to try it. especially for people who like Bollywood 😋😍

The live rooms
Loud rock, played late, to a room that came for exactly that.
The rock bar of record on Walking Street: Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Dio and Motörhead in the sets reviewers name, an open front onto the street, and a band that plays every night.

Excellent live music bar on Pattaya walking street listening. It’s mainly a rock bar, but they can accommodate a lot of different genres. Also, great view of Insomnia nightclub and I Bar to see if all the hotties are congregating there for later on.

The musicians and singers here are very entertaining. Many people are happy to come here and dance. The downside is that they only accept cash.

Thai songs for a Thai crowd on Walking Street, with a kitchen that reviewers rate for larb and nam tok. Fifty-four reviews, so treat the rating as early.

One of my favourite live music Club in Pattaya. I have to say, that im Farang and dont understand what most of the Songs are about (mostly thai songs), but the people (mostly thai) love the music, which gives this place a nice feeling.

The rest
A bar-restaurant on a pier beside Walking Street with the whole bay in front of it, a big Thai and Western menu and a burger with its own name. Not connected to Las Vegas Beer Garden, and people confuse the two.

What reviewers mention most: sea (356), sunset views (119), Thai food (125), draft beer (58).

Ten minutes north
The band at Las Vegas Beer Garden starts at 9 PM. Sit at a stage-side table for the first two sets, talk between songs, eat a plate from across the road, then take a baht bus south for the last hour of the strip at one. Or the reverse: the strip at eleven, and the band at ours before it finishes at 1 AM, then the counter until 3 AM. Either way you get the show and a seat, and you can hear yourself for half the night.

Go in under the arch at the north end at about ten, when it has woken up, and walk. It is a kilometre of neon, closed to cars from six, with the sea on the right behind a row of buildings and a canyon of signs on both sides. The first half is the clubs and the go-gos: Republic, Insomnia, the Indian clubs that have arrived in the last few years and are the busiest rooms on the strip, and the touts with laminated cards who will walk beside you for twenty metres. Say no once and keep walking. The music comes at you from every door, and the doors are open.
The second half is quieter and older: the seafood restaurants with the tanks out front, Hot Tuna with a band, the Stones House with a band, and the pier at the end with Pattaya Beer Garden on it, which is a restaurant with the bay on three sides and a house band after dark and is the best thing on the strip. Have a drink on the pier. Turn round. Walk back the way you came, because that is the only way, and by now it is eleven and the strip is at its fullest.
Then leave. The strip is one street, it is built for the hour you have just spent on it, and the rest of the city's night is ten minutes north on a baht bus. The stage-side tables at the back of the hall on Soi Diana have gone by now on a Friday, and the counter has not, and the counter on a Saturday at midnight is where the late set is best.
It is for seeing once. It is the most famous street in the country for a reason, and the reason is that it looks like nothing else: a kilometre of light with the sea at the end. It is for the clubs, if the clubs are your night, and the big rooms on the list above are the ones people rate. It is for the seafood, at the south end, which is good and is priced for the street. And it is for the Indian and Russian and Chinese tour groups who are most of its crowd now and who do it the way it was meant to be done, in a group, loudly.
It is not for a band you can see count in, a room you can talk in, or a night that costs what a night costs elsewhere. The bands on the strip are in the two or three rooms above that have them and are good, and they are playing to a room that is passing through. The bars with a table and a regular are north, in the triangle of Soi Buakhao, LK Metro and Soi Diana, and the page on the alternatives to the strip is the list of them.
The ranking above is Google's rating weighted by review count, the rule stated so it can be argued with, and each entry has its distance from our counter, which is two kilometres and a bus. We are not on Walking Street, whatever two directories say, and the location guide draws the way to where we are.
Asked
The list is what Google returned for a search of bars on Walking Street on 9 September 2026, kept to the street and the sois off it, with go-go bars and adult clubs left out. Ratings, review counts, categories and hours are Google's. We have not set foot in most of these rooms and do not pretend to; every line traces to a listing. Our own bar is on Soi Diana, ten minutes north, and some directories say otherwise; they are wrong.
How to find us
One way in, one way out. Nine bars stand between the gate and us, and each will invite you in. Keep walking.
The big Las Vegas Beer Garden sign, two minutes from LK Metro. Free entry, no ticket, no dress code.
Past Pocket Kings, Palace, the V Bar, Full House, Viva, Aces High, MGN and Black Jack. The music gets louder with every step.
A black disc ringed with bulbs, a gold crown over the K. That's the door. The toilets are just past it, which is why everyone walks by at least once.
KQ has its own pin on Google Maps, separate from the complex. Tap it and the blue dot ends at our bar, not the front gate.
