Friday at Las Vegas Beer Garden is the night the whole of Soi Diana comes indoors. The band plays three sets to a full hall, the stage-side tables go before the first note, and the only strategy that works is the boring one: be early. Half past seven. We are not joking.

The 7:30 rule.
Every Friday somebody arrives at ten past eight, sees the row along the stage edge full, and asks if we can do anything. We cannot, and we say so nicely. The people at those tables arrived at twenty past seven, ordered a plate from across the road, and watched the band set up. Do that. It is the whole trick.
How the night runs
The opening. Ten. After midnight.
Three snapshots of the room from behind the counter, because "open 6 PM to 3 AM" tells you nothing about which hour is yours.

Full. The second set is the loudest of the week and the tables one row back are standing by the end of it. Save and Bank are pouring two-handed.

The late set on a Friday finishes at 1 AM. The counter is open until three and after 1 AM you can stay at the counter until closing.
The move
What to do with a Friday.
If you are a group, message the bar in the afternoon and we will hold a table by the stage until eight. If you are two, come at half seven and eat here. If you are late, stand at the counter with the Guinness and enjoy the view over everyone's heads.
When the seats go: Half past seven for the stage edge. Eight for the rows behind. After nine you are standing at the counter, which is a fine place to stand.

Can I book a table on Friday?
For groups, message the bar earlier in the day and we will hold seats by the stage until eight. Individuals and couples: come early.
How busy is Las Vegas Beer Garden on Friday?
Full from about nine. It is the second-busiest night after Saturday.

Walk straight up the middle
Past Pocket Kings, Palace, the V Bar, Full House, Viva, Aces High, MGN and Black Jack. The music gets louder with every step.
At the stage, look right
A black disc ringed with bulbs, a gold crown over the K. That's the door. The toilets are just past it, which is why everyone walks by at least once.
