Checked against Google on 9 September 2026
People search Soi 6 more than they search any soi in Pattaya except ours, and most of what they find is coy. This is not: what the soi is, when it is busy, which of the places on it Google lists as an ordinary bar, and the rooftop rooms at its end that are the best-rated thing for half a kilometre. From a bar that is ten minutes south and glad of it.

What it is
Soi 6 runs between Beach Road and Second Road in North Pattaya. It is lined with small bars whose staff sit at the front and invite you in, and it is the town's daytime red-light soi: busy from three, full by nine, thinning by midnight. That is the plain description and everybody in the town would give you the same one.
What we can add is what Google adds. Among the adult clubs, which this site leaves to Google, the soi has a handful of ordinary bars, a sports bar at the corner, and, at its Second Road end, a cluster of rooftop restaurant-bars that are the best-rated places for half a kilometre in any direction and are where most of the soi's visitors should probably have gone in the first place.
And what we can say plainly: if you searched Soi 6 looking for a night out with a band, a seat, a cold room and nobody selling you anything, that is not this soi. It is ours, ten minutes south, and the rest of this site is about it.

The best-rated rooms in this part of town, and the reason to be at this end of Second Road at sunset. Dress codes exist.

Ten minutes south
Soi Diana, in Central Pattaya, has a cocktail bar, a sports lounge, two kitchens and one big cold hall with ten bars and a stage. The band plays from nine, Tuesday to Sunday. We are the last bar on the right, beside it, and nobody at our counter will invite you in, sit with you, or bring you anything you did not order. Different soi. Different night.

Soi 6 is a short street between Beach Road and Second Road in North Pattaya, lined both sides with small open-fronted bars whose staff sit out front on stools and invite you in. It is the daytime red-light soi of the city. It is busy from the middle of the afternoon, which is unusual, full by nine, and thinning by midnight, the opposite curve to Walking Street. Every guide to Pattaya nightlife describes it in a paragraph like this one and then either lingers or moves on, and this site moves on, because that is not what it is for.
It is on this site because people search for it, and because the honest thing to say about it is more useful than nothing. It is for men on their own, mostly, for an afternoon, and the bars know their trade and are not shy about it. A couple walking down it will be greeted and left alone. A person who wants a plain bar with a drink and a seat will find a few, and the list above is what Google returns as bars rather than adult clubs, which is a short list.
The rooftops at the Second Road end are the best rooms in the area and are on a different footing entirely: a view of the bay, a sunset, a cocktail, a crowd that came for the roof. They are the reason to go to that end of town at half past six, and they are on the rooftop guide as well as here.
The way most people who know the city do it: Soi 6 in the afternoon, if at all, because that is when it is what it is, and somewhere else at night, because at night it is thinning and the rest of the city is starting. A rooftop at the Second Road end for sunset. A baht bus south along Second Road, ten minutes, off at the Soi 13 turning. Three minutes on foot to the Las Vegas sign, a walk down a cold hall past nine bars, and a table beside a stage with a band on it from 9 PM to 1 AM.
The two ends of that route are two different cities. One is a soi built around a transaction and open from two in the afternoon. The other is a hall built around a stage, open from six, where nobody sits with you uninvited and the reviews say "no hassle" more than they say anything else. Both are Pattaya. Most visitors see one and assume the other, and the point of this page is that they are ten minutes apart and you can choose.
Soi Buakhao and LK Metro, which people confuse with Soi 6 from a distance, are neither. They are in Central Pattaya, a kilometre south, and are where the beer bars, the rock rooms, the reggae singers, the market and our hall are. Different soi, different night. The bar this is written from is at the back of the hall on Soi Diana, beside the stage, and the soi at the top of this page is the furthest thing from it in the city.
Soi 6 runs between Beach Road and Second Road in North Pattaya, a kilometre and a half north of us. A baht bus north along Second Road from the Soi 13 turning gets you to the Second Road end of it in about ten minutes; walking along Beach Road from Central takes twenty and has the sea beside it, which is the better way in the cool months. The soi is short, three or four minutes end to end at a walk, and the bars are open-fronted both sides so you see all of it from the middle.
The roofs at the Second Road end are the reason to go at half past six. The rooftop guide ranks them, and the top three are the best-rated rooms in this part of town: a view over the bay, the sun going down behind Koh Larn, a cocktail list, and a lift. Go up at six, get a west-facing table, and come down at half past seven, by which time the soi below has become what it is at night and the rest of the city's night is starting elsewhere.
Getting back: a baht bus south along Second Road, off at the Soi 13 turning, three minutes on foot to the Las Vegas sign. The band is on at nine and the tables along the stage edge go by half past seven on a Friday, so a sunset on the roof and the first set at a stage-side table is a squeeze; the second set at ten, from the counter, is the honest plan.
Because people type the name into Google every day, because the internet's answers are either a wink or a warning, and because a bar that writes guides to the city's nights has to write this one plainly or admit it is only writing the ones that flatter it. Soi 6 is part of Pattaya, it is ten minutes from us, and a fair number of the people at our counter on a Friday were there in the afternoon. We would rather they knew what it was before they went and where to go after.
What we will not do is rank it, recommend it, or describe the trade, because Thai law is specific about what a bar may say and because it is not ours to sell. The list above is what Google returns as bars, with adult clubs excluded by the data file, and it is short because the soi's bars are mostly the other kind. The rooftops are ranked because they are rooftops.
The bar this is written from is at the back of a hall on Soi Diana, beside a stage, where nobody sits with you uninvited and the reviews say so. That is the other Pattaya, and it is a baht bus away. The page on the alternatives to the strip is the list of it.
Asked
The list is what Google returned for a bar search on Soi 6 on 9 September 2026, with adult clubs removed by category. Ratings, review counts and hours are Google's. We have described the soi as everyone in the town describes it and listed only what Google lists as a bar; the rest of the soi is on Google for anyone who wants it. Our interest is declared: we would rather you came to the stage.
How to find us
One way in, one way out. Nine bars stand between the gate and us, and each will invite you in. Keep walking.
The big Las Vegas Beer Garden sign, two minutes from LK Metro. Free entry, no ticket, no dress code.
Past Pocket Kings, Palace, the V Bar, Full House, Viva, Aces High, MGN and Black Jack. The music gets louder with every step.
A black disc ringed with bulbs, a gold crown over the K. That's the door. The toilets are just past it, which is why everyone walks by at least once.
KQ has its own pin on Google Maps, separate from the complex. Tap it and the blue dot ends at our bar, not the front gate.
