How it works
One entrance on Soi Diana, two minutes from LK Metro. No ticket, no cover charge, open every night from six until three, and the whole hall is air-conditioned. The walkway runs straight down the middle with bars on both sides, and the stage closes the far end. The band plays Tuesday–Sunday, 9 PM–1 AM, with a DJ on Monday, and the sound carries through the whole complex, so every bar can hear it. Only the bars at the back can see it.
Each bar is its own business with its own staff, drinks and prices. Staff from the bars at the front stand in the walkway and invite you in as you arrive. That is normal here and nobody minds, but it does mean most people sit down before they have seen what is at the back. If you want the stage in front of you, keep walking.
Come straight to KQ for the stage-side seats
Our tables run along the right-hand edge of the stage as you walk in. Choose KQ for a view of the band, the only Guinness on draft in the complex and staff who let you settle in at your own pace. The stage belongs to the complex; the seats beside it belong to the individual bars. Ask for KQ when you reach the stage.

The bars in walking order
This list follows the route from the entrance to the stage; it is not a ranking. Pocket Kings occupies both sides at the entrance.
- Pocket Kings. Both sides of the entrance. The first bar you meet, and the one that meets you first.
- Palace Bar. Left, near the entrance. The complex owner's flagship on that side.
- The V Bar. Right, opposite Palace. V for Vegas.
- Full House Bar. Left, mid-complex.
- Viva Bar. Right, mid-complex.
- Aces High Bar. Left, towards the stage.
- MGN Bar. Right, next door to us.
- Black Jack Bar. Left, beside the stage.
- KQ Bar. Right, beside the stage and the toilets. The last bar, the one with the seats in front of the band and the only Guinness tap.

The walk from the gate to the stage, bar by bar
The gate is on Soi Diana, on the east side, opposite the end of LK Metro. The sign over it says Las Vegas Beer Garden in the neon of a place that has never been to Las Vegas, and the cold starts about two metres before you reach it, because the doors are open and the hall is at twenty degrees. Inside, a walkway runs the length of the building, about ninety metres, with five bars down each side and the stage across the far end.
The front bars catch people who have just arrived, and they are the ones with the most staff out front. They are also the quietest, because the speakers either side of the stage are pointed down the walkway and the sound has ninety metres to lose itself in. If you want the band as a background, sit here. The middle bars are where the speakers are aimed, and they are the loudest seats in the building, which surprises everybody who assumed the front would be. The pool table is on the left, about halfway.
The last bar on the right, beside the stage steps and the toilets, is KQ Bar. The tables along the right-hand edge of the stage are ours, the rows behind them are ours, and the counter along the wall with the Guinness harp on it is ours. From these tables the band is three metres away and to the side of the speakers, which is why it is loud here and clear, rather than loud and a wall. The bar's own Google pin, separate from the complex's, ends at our counter rather than the gate.
The toilets are ours by adjacency and everybody's by use, and are the cleanest in the hall because the bar beside them cares. Lee's Diner and Craft Cottage cook across the soi and bring plates to our tables. Between the front bars and ours, on a Saturday, is the busiest ninety metres in Central Pattaya, and the walk takes four minutes.
What the hall is for, and what it is not
It is for a band in a cold room. Everything else about the place, the ten bars, the walkway, the pool table, the sign, is arranged around a stage at the end with a house band on it from 9 PM to 1 AM, Tuesday to Sunday, and a DJ on Monday, when the band rests. The reviews of the complex say "live music" and "air-conditioned" more than they say anything else, and the third thing they say is "no hassle," which is what a gate does to a crowd: you walk through it on purpose.
It is not a go-go bar, a hostess complex, or a club. Nobody at any of the ten bars will sit with you uninvited. The bars are staffed by people who talk to you as much as you want and not a word more, which in Pattaya is a selling point that has to be said out loud. There is no cover charge at the gate and none at any bar. There is no dress code past a shirt and no minimum at any counter.
It is not on Walking Street, which two directories still claim, and it is not the same place as Pattaya Beer Garden, which is a restaurant on a pier by Walking Street and which Google sends people to by mistake. It is on Soi Diana in Central Pattaya, ten minutes north of the strip by baht bus and ninety seconds from the end of LK Metro on foot.
It has its own website, with its own guide to the same building written from the front of the hall. This one is written from the back, by the bar beside the stage, and the two disagree only about where to sit.
